A very unusual design, this rope wallpaper is based on one of the first fragments of wallpaper Flora collected, dating back to the nineteenth century despite it’s very modern feel. Simple in its design, but crucially with the same chalky look and feel that is true to the original, this linear rope design has been sensitively reworked highlighting the striking contrast of the gold and the charcoal against rich jewel like background colours. The sum of which shows an integrity and homage to traditional techniques and design.
